WISH-TV to Broadcast All Indiana Bets
New Indiana Sports Betting Advice Show Dedicated to Home Teams
Hoosiers will soon be privy to their very own, locally owned, locally broadcast, and locally dedicated sports betting TV show. WISH-TV has announced the launch of All Indiana Bets, an upcoming show all about sports betting, set to air later this year. As the title implies, the show will be largely focused on Indiana’s professional and college sports teams, providing “information and expert insight to make better wagering decisions”.
New Indiana Sports Betting Advice Show |
All Indiana Bets is scheduled to begin airing in August of 2021. When it does, it will become the Hoosier State’s very first televised sports betting program that puts the focus directly on its home teams. WISH-TV has already lined up a prime selection of presenters to host the new show. Three regular personalities will take to the seats, including veteran talk radio personality Jason Hammer, network comedy writer and celebrated “clean comedian”, Scott Long, and WISH-TV’s own Entertainment Insider, McKenzie Roth. |
All Indiana Bets Dedicated to Home Teams |
WISH-TV’s weekly All Indiana Bets line-up includes the airing of a show devoted to the professional sports teams of Indiana each Sunday, and another devoted specifically to Indiana’s college sports teams every Thursday. Then, starting in 2022, during the months of March and April, another show will air specifically geared towards the annual men’s and women’s NCAA college basketball tournaments (a.k.a. March Madness). Come August, viewers can tune in to All Indiana Bets live as it happens on their local WISH-TV statewide TV news network, or catch the latest episodes anytime by visiting WISHTV.com, online or on mobile. Episodes will also be published in audio format in a weekly podcast edition, available on the All Indiana Podcast Network. |
Regulation Spurs Growth of Sports Betting in Indiana |
A television show of this nature might have drawn a modest Hoosier audience five years ago, but at that time, only Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) betting sites were legally operating in the state. It wasn’t until mid-2019 that legislatures made the move to pass an Indiana sports betting law, paving the way for land-based, online and mobile sportsbooks to launch their services in a wholly authorized and regulated environment. Now, with ten IGC-licensed online sportsbooks available to the entire adult population of Indiana – a population known for its devotion to major sports leagues – the legal betting market is already bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars for the state. All Indiana Bets is a natural extension into the entertainment side of the betting industry’s phenomenal growth rate. DuJuan McCoy is the owner, president, and CEO of Circle City Broadcasting, parent company of WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23. McCoy is confident that the network’s new Indiana sports betting advice show will appeal to Indiana’s sports fans. “WISH-TV is committed to creating more unique programming,” McCoy said in a statement announcing the launch of All Indiana Bets. Following the “growing popularity in sports betting, this new show is designed with Hoosiers in mind,” he said. The CEO goes on to describe All Indiana Bets as a means to providing local sports betting fans with “more information and expert insights to make better wagering decisions on their favorite Indiana teams.” |
