Mobile Betting Exchange Coming to Indiana
Caesars partnership to bring BetProphet Sports Betting Exchange to Indiana.
There’s a new sports betting operator coming to Indiana, and it’s set to break the status quo mold. Caesars Entertainment is signing a new partnership deal with New Jersey-based betting brand, Prophet. Together, the two are preparing to launch Prophet’s innovative mobile betting exchange, BetProphet.
This unique peer-to-peer betting platform will allow Hoosiers to place bets directly with other Hoosiers, rather than accepting whatever odds and lines the traditional sportsbooks deem fit to post. Through the partnerships multi-year access agreement, BetProphet will launch in New Jersey this year, prior to the kick off of the 2021 NFL season. Next up is Indiana, where the sports bet exchange will go live in 2022.
BetProphet Sports Betting Exchange
Prophet was founded in 2018 by CEO Dean Sisun and COO Jake Benzaquen. With headquarters in New Jersey, the two brought together a team of experts to build something the US sports betting industry has been sorely lacking – a desktop and mobile bet exchange service.
Exchange betting is not the most popular form of sports betting – don’t get me wrong. It’s more of a niche-market affair. Prophet caters to those who prefer to set their own lines, and explore the odds posted by others. By others, I mean real people, as opposed to sportsbooks that get their lines from Las Vegas oddsmakers.
Betting exchanges have always existed in other parts of the worlds. But this is the first time it’s being seen in the US market’s regulated, online wagering community. I have no doubt experienced bettors, and those seeking something ‘outside the box’, will appreciate this new service coming to New Jersey and Indiana.
A Service Based on “Sports Betting Principles”
Speaking on behalf of the entire Prophet team in a press release, CEO Sisun had this to say:
“We are delighted to announce our agreement with Caesars which will see Prophet launch for the 2021 football season. Prophet is going to be the sports betting exchange of choice because of its simplicity and focus on sports betting principles.
“We are for the customers who want the best experience and prices on the market. Our customers will have the luxury of placing bets on spread and total markets at even (+100) odds, not being limited on any action, and also have the ability to create their own odds on markets offered.”
Sisun goes on to share a few examples of the opportunities BetProphet will bring to the sports betting community. If the spread on a football games, for instance, is -6, you don’t have feel compelled to take it. If you want -5.5, “you can make that offer with Prophet”, via the BetProphet website or mobile app.
“Same goes for both moneyline and total markets,” Sisun explains. If the -110 at virtually all Indiana sportsbooks isn’t appealing enough, you can offer +100 with the betting exchange. And if anyone else feels that’s as good a bet as you do, they can take you up on that offer. And let’s face it – you’re not going to find even odds of +100 anywhere but a sports betting exchange.
BetProphet US Rollout Pending Successful Launch in NJ, IN
Current projections forecast BetProphet’s arrival in Indiana sometime in 2022; probably earlier than later, according to the success of its debut in New Jersey. After securing those markets, the company promises to roll out its desktop and mobile betting exchange service across more US states.
